Annie Tobias joined The Change Foundation as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2020, bringing with her proven leadership skills, over 20 years of international experience in leadership development, more recent experience in the healthcare sector and expertise in not-for-profit governance.

Prior to her position at the Foundation, Annie was the VP Learning and Engagement at the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), where she transformed the former educational services function into what is now Learning and Engagement: a tightly focused value-creating learning and leadership development team serving OHA members.

Annie was formerly Director Global Learning and Talent Development at Deloitte, setting the learning and leadership development agenda for 160,000 employees and 9,000 partners worldwide. Prior to Deloitte, Annie spent just shy of fifteen years in Lausanne, Switzerland as a member of senior management with IMD, a leader in international executive education.

A professionally trained and experienced facilitator and anchor, Annie has taught, facilitated and consulted in the areas of strategy and not-for-profit governance at leading universities and not-for-profits.  She is co-author of the chapter ‘Every Seat Matters’ in The Handbook of Board Governance: A Comprehensive Guide for Public, Private, and Not-for-Profit Board Members.[i] She earned her MBA from IMD, Switzerland with an emphasis in strategy, and her BA in history from Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts.

Annie is a governor emerita and former Vice Chair of Concordia University, Montreal; former member of the Executive of the Board of St. Mary’s Hospital, Montreal; former Associate Governor of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel; former member of the Board of the Jane Goodall Foundation (Canada); and, former member of the board of the Orchestre Metropolitain du Grand Montreal
